Newborn Goodness

This sweetie joins a truly wonderful family and they are blessed to have some girl goodness for her brothers to spoil.  I sure love capturing newborns!

Enjoy!

Baseball Baby

This newborn was already two weeks old, but he still slept so well for his session.  We absolutely had to get baseball pictures since he is a little Yankee's namesake.  We also used his great-grandpa's saddle.  I love when parents bring meaningful props!

Enjoy!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!  These aren't Christmas pictures, although they do have beautiful colors and a loving family so that is kind of "Christmasy," right?!  On a baby's first birthday, Koreans wear traditional clothing and take pictures as well as celebrate.  I love that these children will grow up knowing their wonderful Korean culture even though they live in the United States.

Enjoy!

Serious or Smiles?

Here are some of my favorites this week.   I sure love little smiles, but I do also love how much expression can be captured in the eyes during serious moments.  What are your favorite expressions to capture?

Enjoy!

Sweet Sisters

I love taking pictures of babies.  This photo session was a treat with two baby sisters.  They are thirteen months apart and are going to be the best of friends, but right now I hope Mom and Dad can get some sleep!

Enjoy!

BYU Baby

Here's a newborn picture for all you BYU fans (plus some other cute ones I couldn't resist sharing)! Now before you call me to take your child's picture with the signed BYU balls, I do NOT have a signed Jimmer Ferdette basketball at my studio! BYU is important to this baby's dad. What is important to you? What props can you bring that have meaning for your family?

Enjoy!

Newborn Portraits

Newborn pictures are best taken within the first 10 days. This isn't usually when moms feel up to being photographed. One trick that helps is to have moms wear black. We chose black for this new family, although the mom really is as amazing as she looks and could have worn anything!

The black clothing also helps draw the eye to all that soft baby skin. Can you believe this little guy was only seven days old? He is quite the filled-out newborn and I just love that chubbiness!

Enjoy!

Cute "Chubbies"

I love how this storyboard turned out and I thought it a fitting tribute to all the New Year's Resolutions to lose weight in 2011. Wouldn't it be nice if all our "chubbies" looked as cute as this?! (You'll probably need to click on the picture to make it larger in order to really see the cute expressions and "chubbies.")

Enjoy!

One-Year-Old Cuteness

Remember this cutie? She is now a big one-year-old, so of course we needed to take more pictures of her. Even though she was more interested in a nap than pictures, we captured her cuteness!

Enjoy!

Growing Family

I have loved watching this little family grow. I photographed the parents' wedding and then each of their now three children as newborns. How lucky I am! And how blessed this family is to add a sweet boy to their family.

Enjoy!
